Nia Long will Executive Produce Upcoming Flim ‘Dreams of the Moon,’ Starring her ‘Roxanne Roxanne’ daughter Eden Duncan-Smith

Nia Long will star and executive produce the upcoming film, Dreams of the Moon, which is inspired by a true story set in 1971 and about an African American girl with dreams of becoming an astronaut.

According to Deadline, the film will be directed by Alfons Adetuyi. In addition, Eden Duncan-Smith, from the Netflix and Spike Lee-produced film See You Yesterday, will also star. Interestingly enough, Duncan-Smith played one of Nia Long’s daughters in another Netflix film, Roxanne Roxanne. Denis Foon penned the screenplay. Inner City Films and Spier Films are producing the pic.

Adetuyi and Michael Auret are the producers while Cora Tonno, Gary Shapiro, and Lisa di Michele are executive producers alongside Long.

The film will begin production in April in South Africa.
