Last weekend, Newark, New Jersey held its first CBD extravaganza hosted by the good people at Yummy Entertainment, which featured a special appearance by the Garden State’s own “The Happy Therapist”. NJ’s most recognized medical marijuana clinician was in the building signing autographs for her featured appearance in alternative health publication Natural Awakenings Magazine’s February issue.
Situated on a quiet, back block in downtown Newark, the Lazy Leaf Cafe and Bistro was the site of the signing, with fascinating visual artists, entertainers and dozens of 420 friendly vendors on hand for the festivities..Everyone from henna artists to cannabis-inspired bartenders shared their specialty with all in attendance. With more in mind than just fun and recreation, “Blushii Babez”, a special education teacher and one of the co-founders of Lazy Leaf, spoke about the importance of featuring The Happy Therapist at their evening soiree.
“Cannabis is more than just getting high with your buddies. It’s a medicine that’s why it’s important for The Happy Therapist to be here, because she brings the education to the whole industry,” said Blushii. “And she’s dope, young and vivacious, and she’s a brown girl,” added Meish Millz, the other half of the all-female Yummy Ent.
Sonia Singh LCSW, LCADC, who is otherwise known as “The Happy Therapist”, is a New York-born/New Jersey-based mental health therapist who prescribes medical marijuana to her clients who suffer from PTSD and anxiety-related symptoms. Singh has treated and given thousands of New Jersey residents access to their medical marijuana card, making marijuana and cannabis use safe and legal.
