After raising more than $4 million, Bandcamp announces second fee-waiver day for artists

Bandcamp has artists’ backs during these strange hours. In March, the streaming platform spent a single day waiving its fee entirely, shuttling all stream-generated funds for the day directly to artists in the wake of COVID-19’s global lockdowns. The result was more than $4 million raised that would go directly to struggling artists—now, Bandcamp is ready to waive the feel all over again for round two.

Coming May 1, Bandcamp will host another revenue share day for artists on the platform. Last month saw Skream release a handful of forgotten dubstep gems in tandem with the fee-waiving initiative, among a host of other artists showcasing material on the site.
