Apple Music debuts new web interface in time for 'One World: Together at Home' broadcast

Apple Music‘s website is donning a new interface just in time to host the One World: Together at Home coronavirus benefit concert, curated by Lady Gaga. After spending slightly more than six months in the beta stage, the Apple Music page has launched in a new format that closely resembles the mobile music application.

Apple Music’s new web player affords website visitors access to the Radio and For You sections, including all of Apple Music’s standard features. The transition will be of the greatest benefit to Linux, Windows, and ChromeOS users, who, until now, did not have a web alternative to Mac’s music application.

Apple Music’s leap out of beta also means that owners of non-Macintosh computers will not need to run the iTunes application to access their music. With One World: Together at Home slated for April 18, Apple‘s debut of the sleek new interface is timely, and will expectedly introduce many visitors to the website’s user-friendly design.

Of note, Apple Music is among the streaming platforms that will provide live coverage of the concert, which will begin broadcasting at 8:00 p.m. ET. The benefit will feature performances from Billie Eilish, Elton John, J Balvin, John Legend, Lizzo, Stevie Wonder, and more.
