Bonnaroo opens gates to Virtual ROO-ALITY online festival [Watch]

Bonnaroo‘s Virtual ROO-ALITY is officially underway, opening the barnyard doors to the digital farm with a weekend of live performances, archival recordings, and quirky original programming ranging from campfire stories to a recipe for Big Freedia‘s Booty Poppin’ Potatoes. Bonnaroo 2020 was originally set to take place in the Tennessee heat of June, but was first postponed before being eventually cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

September 25’s Virtual ROO-ALITY schedule kicked off at 5:30 p.m. EST / 2:30 p.m. PST with a legend-heavy lineup from over the years, including The xx, Metallica, and Nathaniel Rateliff. September 26 sparks up at the same time and continues the motif of legends, airing archival sets from The King of Soul, James Brown, and Run The Jewels. Finally, fans can expect the weekend to end on an upbeat and jazzy note, as Colorado’s Big Gigantic will be throwing down ROO-ALITY’s final set. Find the full day-by-day lineups here.

The event is to be hosted on Bonnaroo’s official Youtube channel, but streams can be found below.
