Drake breaks record for most Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 Hits of all time

Drake has made history as the act with the most Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hits of all time. Previously tied with Madonna, the Canadian rapper surpassed the pop icon when he raked in his 39th and 40th Top 10s on the August 1 chart. His features on DJ Khaled tracks,”POPSTAR” and “GREECE” claimed the No. 3 and No. 8 spots respectively. “POPSTAR” clocked in 28.4 million streams while “GREECE” saw 22.1 million streams.

The latest feat places Drake in the conversation with legendary predecessors including The Beatles and Elvis Presley—both of which reigned as acts with the most Top 10 accolades. Madonna unseated The Beatles from their nearly 34-year streak with her 35th Top 10 hit,”Die Another Day.” Madonna maintains the title of most Top 10s in lead roles with 38 hits, beating out Drake, whose collaborative career releases have seen him post 25 of his total 40 Top 10s as a lead.

Other acts in the running include Rihanna with 31 Top 10s, Michael Jackson with 30, Mariah Carey with 28, Lil Wayne with 25, and more.
