Proximity and Littlstar announce 24/7 electronic music channel coming to Playstation 5

Just months after connecting for the first time at Digital Mirage, Proximity and Littlstar have announced the launch of their brand new, 24/7 electronic music channel, to be hosted via PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR. The move cements Proximity’s status as the first record label/curator on PlayStation, Proximity exclusively told Mix Session.

Proximity founder Blake Coppelson elaborated on the vision behind the forthcoming channel, stating,

“We wanted to wait to announce a 24/7 constant stream instead of throwing something just on YouTube. PlayStation and their audience in conjunction with our beautiful videos will serve a bigger purpose than just streaming audio. We’ll be enhancing the experience aesthetically as well. [We are] humbled and honored to be partnering with the teams over at Littlstar and PlayStation.”

The choice to conceive the ceaseless streaming platform was a “no brainer,” added Littlstar CMO Brooklyn Earick:

“Both Digital Mirage 1 and 2 were huge hits on our platform. It was a no brainer to take this next step and bring a 24/7 streaming channel to all the PlayStation consoles, Android TV and via our iOS app.”

The news represents a huge victory for electronic music fans and gamers alike, who—needless to say—find themselves in good curatorial hands. Coppelson has been uploading and promoting music from all spectrums of the electronic music genre since 2009, and has officially done so under the Proximity banner since 2013. A preeminent platform for electronic music discovery, Proximity has premiered tunes for the likes of Alison Wonderland, Slushii, and more.

PlayStation gamers can now look forward to soundtracking their gaming sessions with electronic music’s finest, with the PlayStation 5 is set to release on November 12. In the meantime, check out Proximity’s curated catalog of uploads here.
