Proximity partners with Bumble for virtual mental health awareness event, Alone Together Music Festival

Following more than triumphant back-to-back runs of Digital Mirage and Room Service, Proximity is partnering with Bumble to host their next digital venture, Alone Together Music Festival. Benefiting mental health awareness, the two-day event adds to the ever-growing virtual summer schedule as Proximity taps more than 20 worthy acts for the August 22 – 23 festivities.

Beyond the headlining roster of 3LAU, Elephante, Henry Fong, Moore Kismet, Nurko, Tritonal, Ship Wrek and Two Friends, among countless others, Alone Together Music Festival will also host a range of mental health speakers. Throughout the weekend, the Positive Vibes Speaker Series will lead a conversation alongside artists about mental health, a topic that has become prevalent in discussions within and about the music industry.

Multiple mental health awareness organizations are official partners of the weekend affair, including Active Minds, The Black Mental Health Alliance, and To Write Love On Her Arms. Proximity’s founder and CEO, Blake Coppelson, expanded on how he continues to push the virtual festival envelope as he looks towards his next enterprise, stating,

“We wanted to do something different than adding to the 100s of streams every weekend. By providing performances + a speaker series on a topic not talked about enough, we’re able to not only raise money to create awareness but provide personal experiences from the artists that are performing on the issues that have affected them personally.”
