TNGHT, San Holo, Baauer, and more to play virtual Minecraft festival, 'Lavapalooza'

In the era of livestream events, DJs and artists alike are looking to share their sounds via virtual venues such as YouTube, Twitch, or other streaming providers. Some are even able to take their talents to a more virtual space like Porter Robinson, who recently hosted the Second Sky online festival. Big brands are also capitalizing on digital events, such as Fortnite and Minecraft.

On the weekend of August 15, this pattern will continue with another Minecraft festival thanks to Open Pit, who will present Lavapalooza, a digital affair that lays claim to a lineup of more than 50 of electronic’s finest. Featured acts include TNGHT, San Holo, Baauer, Flatbush Zombies, 100 Gecs, and many more. The grip of artists cumulatively looks to benefit the Okra Project, a grassroots collective that provides support to black transgender, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming individuals.

Lavapalooza will also feature label takeovers from LuckyMe, bitbird, and Dog Show Records, among other imprints. Tune in from August 14 – 15 at 6 p.m. EST/ 3 p.m. PST.
