To Write Love on Her Arms Shares World Suicide Prevention Day Video
Nonprit organization To Write Love on Her Arms has shared an inspiring new video as part its “#TomorrowNeedsYou” campaign in honor National Suicide Prevention Week and World Suicide Prevention Day.
The powerful video features an array actors and musicians telling the world, “Tomorrow Needs You.” Of the video, TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski says: “We love that this new video is a mix people from all over-actors, artists, parents, nurses, students, and musicians all using their voices to tell the world why tomorrow needs them. Our hope is to encourage each viewer to believe that life is worth living. Our hope is to prevent suicide.”
The World Health Organization reports that 800,000 people die by suicide globally each year. That’s one person every 90 seconds. With the suicide rate rising in the United States, TWLOHA sets out to provide hope and find help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. Every single dollar from the “Tomorrow Needs You” campaign will be invested into treatment and recovery.
Since its start in 2006, TWLOHA has donated over $2.1 million directly into treatment and recovery and answered over 200,000 messages from over 100 countries. For more information on To Write Love on Her Arms, please visit: www.twloha.com.
