Emerging rapper OT The Real sat down for an interview on Friday to talk about his music going viral and how he’s maintained his career druing quarantine. During the chat with Shade 45’s DJ Caesar on his independent YouTube show “Vibin Heavy” the rapper recalls two NBA Hall of Famers who reached out to him.
“Right before the whole Covid thing kicked off Shaq had hit me up, sent me a video. He was on TNT he’s like yo look at the tv. I said ‘f*** is this Shaq DM’ing me? Then he sends me another video of him singing my music,” OT recalls. “The next day Kevin Garnett posted me so that was pretty dope.”
OT’s music has gotten hundreds of thousands of views since the Shaq and KG shout outs, but prior to that OT had already linked up with legendary hip-hop producer Scott Storch on a track that OT says he is keeping “in the tuck” for now.
