CRSSD Fest Fall 2024 Recap

As another summer has passed, we were more than elated to welcome the Fall season with our favorite SoCal festival, CRSSD Fest. The weather was perfect, and the music surely delivered in what was an exceptional experience for all attendees.

We began our weekend at the park by a welcoming set from Torren Foot at the Palms. With deep funky & melodic grooves, they definitely set the tone for what was to come. The next set we were really stoked on was Rex The Dog, who brought up a modular synth rack with him and was making all sorts of fun and interesting sounds on top of the driving techno beats.

TOKiMONSTA unfortunately had to pull out of the event, but an extended set from Jersey brought down the sun in a spectacular fashion. As the night began, we revisited the City Steps for a set from Narciss before stopping by Skream for a bit. We then grabbed the customary slice of Spicy Pie and came back to the steps for VTSS, who’s set was absolutely killer and almost made us think we were watching Boys Noize.

After getting our techno fix, we settled at the Palms for even more fun sets from Walker & Royce then Miss Monique. Before ending the night though we stopped by Ocean View for Disclosure, which was an awesome way to wrap up Day 1.

Day 2 started off hot & funky with a super fun set from Dabeull, who had multiple vocalists join the band who each did amazing. If an opportunity comes to catch them again, we would highly recommend it! We then checked out Mason Collective & Erol Alkan before seeing Soulwax bring down the sun with their massive & elaborate stage show.

This night was truly stacked, as sets by Adam Beyer, Idris Elba and BICEP made it truly difficult to stay at just one stage in that 2 hour span. We then closed out with Boris Brejcha into Gorgon City, which was a great way to cap off another incredible weekend at Waterfont Park.

As CRSSD Fest reaches the 10 year mark in 2025, we simply cannot recommend this festival enough and share our heartfelt congratulations to the team. You really don’t see many festivals that run this long! They’ve definitely proved their worth and we sincerely hope they go for at least another 10 years.
