The Avalanches beamed American vocalist Leon Bridges into Melbourne‘s star studded planetarium on November 15, taking to the secret star system together with a live performance of their recent single, “Interstellar Love.”
The live rendition, which was featured in ABC’s The Sound, highlights the creative blastoff that streaming has seen this year, finding the cosmic intersection between live FX and the lunar light of Melbourne Planetarium.
“Interstellar Love” landed in October and is the latest in a slew of singles building up to The Avalanches’ forthcoming LP, We Will Always Love You, due on December 11. Star-studded in its own right, the upcoming release, which is The Avalanches third full-length, is already set to feature the likes of Jamie xx, Denzel Curry, Sampa The Great, and Rivers Cuomo, throughout the album’s hefty 25-song track list.
