Spotify continues to emphasize the importance of intertwining audio and visual art. Recently, the platform made its Canvas looping video feature available to the masses, allowing artists to upload a short clip to play alongside their releases and integrate into Instagram stories. Now, the streaming platform is rolling out a new mobile feature that allows users to upload their own custom playlist covers from the convenience of their phone.
Custom playlist covers have been available on the desktop version of Spotify for a while now, but mobile users lacked the functionality to change the default covers. Fortunately, this is no longer the case. Users on the mobile app simply need to click the three dots that appear at the top of the screen in their playlists and select “edit” then “change image.” Keep the app updated as the feature is reportedly rolling out to users slowly. Happy playlisting!
