Daft Punk's 'Homework' and 'Alive 1997' to get vinyl reissue – Mix Session Daft Punk's 'Homework' and 'Alive 1997' to get vinyl reissue

Good news for audiophiles: Daft Punk‘s debut album Homework and their first-ever live album Alive 1997 are both slated for vinyl reissue, with the physical formats to be distributed via EMI on February 25. The repress of Homework can be preordered here. Meanwhile, Alive 1997‘s repressing is available for preorder here.

The news of EMI’s plans to reissue the turntable treats follows the February 22 announcement of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo‘s disbandment via “Epilogue,” an eight-minute video that formalized their retirement. Though artists across the industry have since lamented Daft Punk’s retreat from the dance setting, they have also celebrated their evergreen legacy and pioneering contributions to the electronic landscape and beyond.
