After much anticipation, Florence + the Machine announce the release date for their fifth studio album Dance Fever on May 13 via Republic Records. The LP includes recent singles “King,” “Heaven Is Here,” and the band’s most recent output, “My Love.”
Florence Welch describes the album as “a fairytale in 14 songs” and one watch of the Autumn de Wilde-directed music videos that have landed in support of the upcoming record makes Welch’s description as evident as possible. Taking inspiration from the Renaissance era, the whimsical videos paired with the mesmerizing vocals are nothing short of stunning so far. The album promises to have a gripping narrative feel, as Florence + the Machine already exhibit a proven knack for magnetizing compositions that can draw a listener in almost instantly.
