According to a news report from Atlanta’s Fox 5 News, at least 200 people traveled through the city’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport who appeared to have symptoms of the deadly coronavirus.
According to yesterday’s news briefing from Fox 5, those travelers were sanctioned to home quarantine, however, not all of the travelers who were examined were even admitted to a hospital.
Of the 1,000 passengers who were checked out, only one, who originated in South Korea, came through the busy, Atlanta hub with critical symptoms and was admitted to Emory Hospital. Airport officials said that passenger did not have coronavirus and was released.
As reported on Tuesday, the CDC warned Americans to prepare for the inevitable spread of the virus, as it had confirmed to have reached stateside.
