Cedric Gervais Remixes Eddie Amador’s Classic ‘House Music’ For Yoshitoshi’s 25th Anniversary Release Series

Yoshitoshi extends its celebration of Eddie Amador’s ‘House Music’ at 25 years with the release of the dancefloor filler remix from French recognised DJ and producer Cedric Gervais.

25 years is a long time in dance music. Ask any clubber what tracks they remember from 1999 and, odds-on, you’ll be met with a shrug. However, mention ‘House Music’ and it’s a different kettle of karate; not only was it one of the seminal releases of the year, but it’s also gone on to stand the test of time.

Following well-received remixes this year from Sharam and Riva Starr, August 2nd sees the final chapter in the trilogy, which concludes matters on a very big bang indeed. Cedric Gervais reinterpretation is born from the dark side of the tech-moon and then sent to a kindergarten of the deepest funk. It’s a mix of pure, peak-time power that will delight aficionados of all house genres. Expect to hear it across the world, from major festivals to the best Ibiza floors and beyond.

Cedric is the Grammy Winner known for Best Remix in 2013 for his version of Lana Del Rey’s ‘Summertime Sadness’, and with a monthly Spotify audience of over 5 million listeners and multi-platinum selling singles. His career also extends to achieving Number 1’s across Beatport, Buzz, Hype Machine & Cool Cuts Charts, while he’s had acting roles in Michael Bay’s blockbuster film ‘Pain & Gain’ alongside Mark Wahlberg and The Rock, and Pete Berg’s ‘The Long Night’ alongside Mark Wahlberg and Kurt Russell. These are just a few things that have been making French born Miami resident Cedric Gervais one of the most sought after House DJs & electronic music producers in the world today. With his imprint ‘Delecta Records’ where he releases regular singles, Cedric continues his ascendancy into 2024 and beyond.
