Charlotte de Witte Unveils Adrenaline-Fueled Single “Roar”

Today, techno’s undisputed titan, Charlotte de Witte unveils her next high-octane, boundary obliterating new single that signals the next evolution of the wildly successful 2023 Overdrive Campaign and tour – “Roar”.

A thunderous rallying cry, “Roar” offers a symphonic emulation of the exhilarating, heart pounding rush at the intersection of breakneck speed and unbridled adrenaline. Officially dropping on April 11 via the phenomenon’s KNTXT imprint, the techno-banger sets the stage for what promises to be de Witte’s most epic year yet and arrives tandem with her Coachella performances on Saturday, April 13 and April 20th.

An explosive, turbo-charged anthem that pulses with raw power, “Roar” delivers a sonic surge that ignites the senses through its relentless tempo, driving beats and infectious hooks. Propelling listeners into a captivating listening experience that is as intense as it is enthralling, this fierce masterpiece demonstrates de Witte’s masterful ability to blend genres with a visceral energy that commands attention – the ardent catalyst in her meteoric rise from Belgium’s underground to global phenomenon status.

“Roar stands for power, action, adrenaline and a sense of letting go,” said de Witte. “There is a certain energy that is unleashed every time I play this track. “Roar” quickly became one of the highlights of my sets, and I’m very excited to release it.”

An unstoppable force at the helm of a global movement, de Witte is not just a DJ; she is an icon in a category of her own, overhauling the very fabric of the electronic music scene with unparalleled influence. Harnessing a distinct brand of artistry that knows no categorical bounds, the DJ, producer and record label head has cemented herself as one of the music industry’s most in-demand names at nothing short of breakneck speed. Since bursting onto the scene in 2010, de Witte has earned a cult-like following and critical acclaim, consistently selling out shows around the world with unprecedented fervor. de Witte is also the founder of KNTXT, a multi-hyphenate, experiential platform that includes a record label, live event arm, apparel label / fashion brand and more.

Through category-blurring collaborations, enthralling performances and unexpected activations around the world, de Witte has built an immersive empire that captures the essence of the underground in a way that resonates with a new generation of consumers, leaving an indelible mark on the industry as a whole. This was evident through a dynamic campaign and tour for her “Overdrive” EP, which kicked off in NYC with a pop-up shop at Extra Butter, two sold-out nights at the Brooklyn Mirage and a guerrilla-style surprise performance that shut down Orchard Street for hundreds. Culminating the campaign to Los Angeles, she hosted her first all-night-long, sold-out solo show on the West Coast at the iconic Shrine Expo Hall. Wrapping up the year at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), she celebrated her latest EP, “Power Of Thought,” with a 3-night KNTXT Turbo Club pop-up, featuring the Charlotada – a daytime hangout in collaboration with Tequila Don Julio.

“Roar” sets a powerful precedent for its corresponding campaign for de Witte as she continues to build on the momentum of a massive 2023 for de Witte that saw several professional milestones for the titan of techno. In 2022, she was the first techno act (and woman) that closed the Main Stage of Tomorrowland. Last year, de Witte made history once again as the first techno and female artist to headline Miami’s Ultra Music Festival’s Mainstage. She also closed out the Mainstage at Movement Festival, making de Witte the first woman to achieve this recognition in the festival’s 23-year history. Just as 2023 came to a close, de Witte secured her fourth consecutive title as the World’s Number 1 Techno DJ by DJ Mag.
