The City Of Brotherly Love is mourning one of its own today as hometown comedian Demetrius Green, who is known on stage as “Meechie Hoe 215”, was shot and killed in Philadelphia Monday night, according to a confirmed report from 6ABC in Philly.
The Philadelphia Police Department issued a statement, saying that a 25-year-old Black male in the passenger seat of a Black Altima was shot in the arm and chest. Allegedly, someone walked up to the car that Meechie was riding in and shot him when the car stopped at a red light. The driver, who was also shot in the arm, drove about 100 feet before stopping the car.
Police transported Green to Albert Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Meek Mill mourned the comic after receiving the news posting on Twitter, “They killed Meechie hoe that’s Brazy!”
