Grammy-winning David Guetta and Swedish serial-hitmaker Alesso team up with singer-songwriter Madison Love for a new surefire smash-hit single, ‘Never Going Home Tonight’, out on 6th September.
‘Never Going Home Tonight’ is a euphoric track about losing yourself in nightlife, losing sleep, chaotic after parties – and “after-after parties”. Madison Love’s pristine lyrics work with a bright piano riff and big-room EDM-style synths for a hands-in-the-air euphoric hit.
Highlighting their expertise in crafting energetic and uplifting beats, the track is a masterful blend of Guetta’s signature house sound and Alesso’s progressive house influences – ‘Never Going Home Tonight’ is designed to fill dance floors and festival stages across the globe. The high-energy, feel-good track captures the essence of the genre and showcases a deeper dive into the synergistic genius of the two international icons.
From Alesso:
“I’m always excited when I get to work with David, and we wanted to make a real feel-good track for this one. It has everything I love about dance music in it – we’re so excited to share it with you all!”
The track arrives amid a year of massive proportion for both artists who are both hot on the heels of a stacked schedule of summer shows and releases. The international icons have been building anticipation for this latest collaboration all summer long – from Guetta’s residencies around the world, including Las Vegas’s Encore Beach Club as well as David Guetta Presents Future Rave at Hï Ibiza and ‘F*** Me, I’m Famous!’ party, now in its 23rd year, at Ushuaïa Ibiza and Alesso’s chart-topping releases including the genre-defying “I Like It” with Nate Smith and high-profile residency with TAO Nightlife in Las Vegas – to both artists delivering groundbreaking mainstage performances at Tomorrowland.
Between non-stop sold-out gigs, Guetta, now recognised as one of the world’s most-streamed artists with 80M on Spotify monthly, has maintained his dominance of dance music in 2024 by dishing out a string of huge productions, such as April’s hit single ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait’ with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder (329 million Spotify streams, #1 in the US Dance Radio Charts & #33 on Spotify’s Global Chart). This was followed by a music video with 40M views, remixes from the likes of Hardwell, Miss Monique and DJs From Mars, an acoustic version and a band version by OneRepublic themselves.
The French producer also teamed up this year with Dutch talent MORTEN and Prophecy for ‘Kill The Vibe’, followed by the viral TikTok sensation ‘Man In Finance’ with Girl On Couch and Billen Ted, and a remix of the country hit ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ by Shaboozey. He’s also released ‘In The Dark’ with Armin Van Buuren, ‘Switch’ with Cedric Gervais, and has gone on to work with AFROJACK for their track ‘Raving’, as well as Oliver Heldens, Clean Bandit and, for the third time, Anne-Marie.
In 2023, David Guetta released ‘Baby Don’t Hurt Me’ featuring Anne-Marie and Coi Leray, achieving over 700 million streams. Before this, he released ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ with Bebe Rexha, resulting in 2.7 billion streams and earning Guetta his eleventh Grammy nomination.
