Over the weekend, Bieber posted a cryptic Instagram carousel with the caption, “Dm me if u wanna make music together.” Casual, simple – but it got the internet talking fast. Tons of fans jumped in, and so did a bunch of fellow musicians. The biggest name of them all? Drake, who straight up commented, “I DM’d but no reply.”
And just like that, the internet caught fire. Drake being left on read? Unheard of. The comment racked up nearly 42,000 likes in no time, and fans didn’t hold back. Replies flooded in, with one saying, “we better see a collab soon,” while another fan posted on X, “Him and Drake on a song goes triple platinum btw.” Honestly, they’re not wrong.
But here’s where it gets awkward – Justin didn’t respond. Not to Drake, not to anyone. Other artists like Big Sean, Kehlani, Jaden Smith, and even country artist Bailey Zimmerman all tossed their names into the ring, but Bieber stayed quiet. So now everyone’s wondering what’s going on. Is he swamped? Ignoring everyone? Or is this just part of some genius album rollout strategy?
Drake and Bieber do have a little history. Back in 2012, they teamed up for a track called “Right Here” on Bieber’s Believe album. It didn’t exactly top the charts (it peaked at No. 95 on Billboard), but it was still a moment. It’s been over a decade since that song dropped, so fans have been itching for a reunion.
