It’s official! Kanye West is now the highest-paid musician in the world. On Thursday, Forbes made the announcement in the 2020 edition of its annual Celebrity 100 list.
However, its a family affair with sister-in-law Kylie Jenner just ahead of him. West brought in earnings of $170 million in 2020 ranking at number two.
West is worth $1.3 billion, according to Forbes. His behemoth sneaker brand, Yeezy, a contract with Adidas, made the same seven-figured number in sales in 2019.
Also, his Yeezy apparel line and music added to his billionaire status.

On Thursday, Kanye West made a $2 million donation to support the families of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor.
The donation also includes funding for legal fees for Arbery and Taylor’s families.
West’s representative said he established a 529 education plan to fully cover college tuition for Gianna Floyd, the 6-year-old daughter of George Floyd.
