Melodic dance duo Last Heroes teams up with STAR SEED for “Different Future”.
The track is a euphoric blend of the acts’ distinct styles with folk-influenced verses and explosive four-on-the-floor drops. Both artists
have been fan favorites on the Ophelia Records roster over the past few years and this track marks their first ever collaboration together, arriving just in time for their debut performances at Bonnaroo for the label’s stage takeover. Alongside the production, singers and songwriters Liu Bei and LeyeT join forces for a dualvocal performance with hooky melodies and harmonies.
Brian Helander and Garrett Lucero, better known as Last Heroes, have been captivating audiences since their formation in 2016. With the goal of bringing people together and providing positive messages, the Last Heroes project has reminded fans that everyone has a purpose. Their mission is soundtracked by a blend of electronic indie, alternative sounds and melodic bass lines inspired by artists like Seven Lions, Bring Me The Horizon and more. Their EP ‘Finding Light’ on Ophelia reached the #1 spot on the iTunes Dance Album Charts, scored a highly coveted BPM Breaker track on SiriusXM with its lead single “Love Like Us” and has been supported on radio by Jason Ross, Tritonal, Gryffin, Insomniac Radio, Illenium and Alison Wonderland.
Last year, they released their third EP on the label ‘Threads’ which received heavy editorial support across streaming platforms alongside charting singles. Liu Bei is the alias of the Grammy nominated songwriter Richard Walters. As Liu Bei, vocal features in the past have included huge tracks with Solomun, Vintage Culture, Way Out West, Simon Doty, and Hidden Empire. As a solo artist and writer, Richard Walters has worked with Kx5 and Sultan + Shepard in recent years, plus co-written tracks with an eclectic list of artists including Alison Moyet, 3Lau, and Declan J. Donovan.
LeyeT is an LA based songwriter and artist specializing in the dance, pop and alternative genres; she’s known for her smart yet relatable lyricism and infectious melodies. As a topliner, LeyeT is known to lend her voice to the softer side of the dance space, collaborating with artists Le Youth, EMBRZ, Dillistone, Jako Diaz, amongst others.
