Nurse in Italy Commits Suicide After Testing Positive for Coronavirus

The stress from the global pandemic of the Covid-19 outbreak has taken its toll on the world’s population, however, for some, the weight of potentially contracting and spreading the virus is too much to bear.

TMZ has recently reported that a nurse in Italy that was treating patients infected by Coronavirus took her own life after being diagnosed with Covid-19.

34 year old Daniela Trezzi, a nurse who was treating patients at Monza’s San Gerardo Hospital, had been working with ICU patients days before Italy went on lockdown, but tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this month.

Trezzi was distraught over the thought that she could’ve passed the virus onto other people in the hospital before learning that she had the virus herself.

Last week, a similar suicide occurred with a nurse in Venice, Italy, according to The National Federation of Nurses in Italy.

Italy has been one of the hardest-hit areas on the planet, with over 6,000 health care workers being infected with Coronavirus.
