Long-standing Dim Mak Techno artist JSTJR joins forces with German duo, OBS to collaborate on “Kickdrum,” a high energy underground banger strapped with thick kick drums, stabbing synths, and a mad cheeky vocal loop – out on August 16.
This single follows JSTJR’s recent Rock It EP on the label.
On the creation of the single, JSTJR reflects; “When OBS reached out to work on a track, I was excited to see what they had for me. Their version of Kick Drum was already super dope, but, in the spirit of the name, I added my personal touch (and an even harder kick) and the track went from a 10 to an 11”
OBS adds; “We had this drop idea for a very long time, a drop that is really badass and right in your face. One night, as we were driving home from a festival gig, the lyrics just came to mind. We knew they would perfectly fit the demo idea we had made. We’ve been following JSTJR for a year or so and really love what he’s been doing recently. We sent him our song, and what he did with it was just awesome. He really took it to another level in terms of being badass. So, this is the story about ‘Kick Drum’.”
