A gruesome story out of Pennsylvania where Clifton Heights Police responded to a 911 call at an apartment complex where a man allegedly used a machete to dismember his ex-girlfriend.
Officers say when they arrived, they found 32-year-old white male, Nicholas Scurria decapitating the woman, whose name hasn’t been released.
CBS Philly reports, Police Chief Timothy Rockenbach said he’s never seen a crime like this in his three decades in law enforcement. State Police say some of their officers will be offered counseling due to the nature of a call they answered.
The police affidavit shows a neighbor “woke up to loud screaming in the neighboring apartment and then heard sawing-like sounds and the gathering or shifting of plastic materials.”
Officers took Scurria into custody and he faces several charges, including first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse.
Scurria allegedly told investigators he and the victim had an argument and claimed she tried to castrate him.
