Producer Dougie On The Beat Talks Landing Collaborations With Meek Mill, G Herbo, Lil Durk & More

Dougie on The Beat is no stranger to hard work, dedication and persistence. With any pursuit, those qualities are essential. The Philadelphia producer can attest to that. While growing up in the City of Brotherly Love, the opportunity to be a successful artist did not present itself easily. Instead, Dougie on The Beat had to create the opportunity for himself.

First, he started to rap, but was more infatuated with the process of creating a song from scratch as oppose to being the vocalist. From there he worked countless days to learn and honor his craft. At one point, the producer made a pact with himself. If he didn’t achieve the level of success he was looking for in a years time, he would quit music.

Well his life changed forever once he began to reach out to members of the Dreamchasers camp. Those relationships led him to meeting, Meek Mill’s engineer, Anthony Cruz. After sending beats to the DC camp for almost a year, he finally landed three placement on Meek’s third studio album, Wins & Losses in 2017. “Save Me,” “Issues, ” “1942 Flows,” were standout tracks from that project. The latter has been certified platinum.

Following his success in 2017, he was signed to a partnership with Dreamchasers. Since then, he has landed placements with G Herbo, Lil Durk, Rick Ross, Kash Doll and more. He landed on G Herbo’s 3rd studio album PTSD, with “Feelings.”

With the start of a new decade, Dougie On The Beat has the momentum to continue to build an esteemed discography.
