Quicche Unveils Debut Album ‘Frisia’ On R&S Records

German singer, songwriter, and composer Marc Grünhäuser, known as Quicche, is set to drop his highly anticipated debut album, ‘Frisia’, on April 11, 2025, via R&S Records.

Blending tender vocals, subtle electronics, and indie-folk, this genre-defying album marks a pivotal moment in Quicche’s career.

Retreating to a secluded house in Northern Germany, Quicche spent a month in total isolation to write, record, and produce Frisia. With limited equipment and no external influences, he focused purely on the music, crafting an album that feels raw, personal, and deeply emotional. The result is an unfiltered reflection of personal turmoil, grief, and the weight of familial expectations.

The title track Frisia was born from a period of profound self-doubt. In the quiet of East Frisia, Quicche wrestled with grief, shame, and anger, channeling those emotions into a cathartic sonic experience. The album’s fluid soundscape merges folk, indie, ambient, electro, and R&B, with Quicche himself describing it as “where avant-garde meets pop.”

Ahead of the album release, Quicche has already built momentum with the single “Red Eyes,” continuing the success of previous tracks like Cyan II, White Teeth, and TAGIOG (Sept 2024). Each has garnered widespread praise from fans, media, and streaming platforms, solidifying Quicche’s place in the global music scene.

Frisia is more than just an album – it’s a testament to the power of music as a deeply personal and boundary-pushing art form. With its emotionally charged storytelling and innovative sound, Quicche is set to leave a lasting mark on the industry.

As we count down to the release of Frisia, one thing is clear – Quicche’s debut is set to be a game-changer. Have you listened to his latest single “Red Eyes” yet? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let’s discuss this groundbreaking album.
