Synymata, Egzod, And Josh Rubin Touch On Toxic Relationships With Stirring Melodic Bass Collaboration “Already Numb”

Synymata, Egzod, and Josh Rubin have been ingrained in the Lost In Dreams catalog with multiple stellar releases.

The trio make their return to the label with their incredible triple-headed collaboration “Already Numb.” The new single continues to enhance the excitement surrounding Synymata’s forthcoming album on the label.

“Already Numb” is an embodiment of the trifecta that is Synymata, Egzod, and Josh Rubin. Led by Rubin’s captivating vocal performance, the singer-songwriter bares his soul, uncovering the pain of being shackled to a dead-end romance. Synymata and Egzod weave their production wizardry throughout, offering the perfect soundscape for the twists, turns, and visceral lyrics. Rubin’s signature vocal croons are amplified by pensive piano chords and orchestral strings as the track builds with swelling waves of emotion. The intensifying drums mirror the magnitude of the topline before giving way to epic drops imbued by glitchy textures and sailing synth sequences. The color bass sections explode for an epic release of cathartic energy, representing a breaking point. “Already Numb” is a sobering ballad that masterfully balances beauty and pain.

Sharing his excitement for the release, Synymata says, “It was a pleasure working with Egzod and Josh on this record. They’re both so talented and it was a gratifying feeling being able to showcase the song together at Countdown NYE on the Lost In Dreams stage. Lost In Dreams has been a home to me for my music, and I can’t thank them, as well as the fans, enough for all the support!”

Josh Rubin expands on the meaning behind the single, saying, “This track is about staying in a hopeless relationship. We’ve all been there; we’ve all held on to certain things and people for longer than we should. It’s hard giving up that comfort, so we tend, sometimes, to stay in a toxic situation regardless of how checked-out we are. We’d rather feel nothing than feel the fear of being alone.”

Synymata (Anthony Gomulka) is a Milwaukee-based producer that has been making a name for himself in the bass music scene with a style that effortlessly moves between heavy-hitting and melodic. His signature style has led to collaborations with ARMNHMR and SLANDER, plus tastemaker support from NGHMTRE, Jauz, Alison Wonderland, Zeds Dead, 1788-l, and more. Synymata is gearing up to tour alongside SABAI and JVNA in the second quarter of the year.

Egzod is a Portugal-born, France-raised, and US-based producer known for crafting alluring soundscapes with underlying themes of spirituality, unification, empowerment, and exploring various facets of the human condition. His 5-track EP ‘Collide’ arrived on Lost In Dreams last November and drew coverage from Arctic Empire, Clown Music, Bass Bangers, EDM Reviewer, The Music Essentials, and iEDM. He has gained support from a myriad of stars, including Illenium, SLANDER, NGHTMRE, Alan Walker, Alison Wonderland, Don Diablo, and ARMNHMR.

Hailing from Austin, Texas, Josh Rubin is quickly becoming a mainstay in the electronic music scene. The singer-songwriter has become a go-to collaborator working with artists such as REAPER, Fransis Derelle, ATLAST, Mazare, and more. 2024 is set to be his biggest year to date as he continues to transition from high profile vocalist to a DJ/producer in his own right.

“Already Numb” is an epic collaboration from three of the scene’s most consistent talents.
