Pop Smoke had so much more to do.
The unexpected murder of rising rap star, Pop Smoke has taken an extreme toll on the Hip-Hop community. He was shot and killed Wednesday morning at a rental home in Hollywood Hills. Prior to his sudden death, Woo was winning. He released his second project Meet The Woo, Vol. 2, only 12 days prior to his untimely demise. The project featured Quavo, A Boogie With Da Hoodie, Lil Tjay and more. It is no doubt that Pop Smoke had more collaborations in the stash.
Following the tragic news, Travis Scott took to his Instagram story to preview an unreleased song featuring the fallen rapper. It is unclear if the track will ever get released. At the end of 2019, La Flame and Pop collaborated on the standout track, “Gatti.” The song, not only served as the outdo to the JACKBOYS project but received much praise. The album went on to debut at number 1 on the Billboard 200.
A number of rappers and artists alike had already work with or were waiting to work with Pop Smoke. Renowned battle rapper, Tsu Surf, shared a text message conversation between the two rappers. They had planned on working as well.
In addition, Toronto rapper and producer, Nav, had a studio session booked with Pop Smoke on Wednesday. The “Tap” rapper was featured on Meet The Woo Vol. 2 as well. There is no telling how many more collaborations would have come out of that session.
The “Welcome To The Party” rapper burst onto the scene in Summer ’19 with an anthem that instantly resonated Hip-Hop fans everywhere.
