Waka Flocka Flame Questions Looting: ‘Stay On Task’

Waka Flocka Flame does not agree to loot.

Flocka took to Instagram to share his opinion on the protest following the tragic murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, MN. Hundreds of protestors have flooded the streets of Minneapolis in an outcry to Floyd’s death at the hands of police brutality. In doing so, the city’s citizens have burned buildings, including the Minneapolis PD Precinct and looted establishments as well. Citizens are angry. Citizens are tired. Citizens outraged.

Many have taken to social media to share their opinion in response to the protest including Waka Flocka Flame. The “Hard In The Paint” rapper is not in favor of the destruction of neighborhoods.

“Why trash your neighborhoods?” wrote Flocka. “Looting is not justice that’s criminal. Stay on task!!”

The Atlanta rapper had a change of heart just 24 hours later after someone influenced his thinking.

“Somebody told me it’s easy to say stop looting from the top of the food chain,” he wrote. “That hit my heart different!! I understand fully.”

While Waka feels that looting is counterproductive, Black communities are hurting. This hurt stems from racism and injustice.
