The spread of the pandemic has reached new heights as a very well known and respected member of the Hip-Hop community has been infected with the novel coronavirus.
H-Town rap mainstay Slim Thug said that despite taking the regular precautions, including wearing a mask and gloves when outside and self quarantining, he still managed to contract the virus that has sent the world into a frenzy in the past month. Thug is the first artist to have publicly come forward that has tested positive with the virus.
Thousands of new coronavirus cases are being diagnosed across the country daily, including the largest population in the New York City area. As of Tuesday morning, at least 43,499 people across every state, plus Washington, D.C., and three U.S. territories, have tested positive for the virus, according to a New York Times database, and at least 537 patients with the virus have died.
