As Confederate landmarks around the country are being toppled and removed, a group of armed members of the Not Fuckin Around Coalition (NFAC) held a protest in Stone Mountain, Georgia to call for the Confederate carvings at the state park to be taken down.
The gathering site, which has stood for about a century, features a sculpture of Gen. Robert E. Lee, Confederate President Jefferson Davis and Gen. Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson carved into a granite mountainside and is the largest Confederate monument in history.
The Stone Mountain Memorial Association spokesperson said that the protesters, which numbered in the hundreds, protested peacefully.
