We’re all excited for another wonderful weekend under the California sun at Just Like Heaven. We’re especially thrilled to see The Postal Service perform on May 18th. This year, the festival will be held at the beautiful Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. This fantastic venue enhances the festival’s vibrant vibe. Just Like Heaven is like a time machine to our youth with its lineup of beloved indie music. Every year, we look forward to creating new memories while reliving old ones with friends. We always have so much fun singing to our favorite tunes and tasting different delicious foods. The festival is not just about good music; it’s also about enjoying time with friends in an exciting setting.
This year’s lineup features The Postal Service, Death Cab For Cutie, Phoenix, The War on Drugs, Miike Snow, Passion Pit, Alvvays, Gossip, Tegan and Sara, Broken Social Scene, Two Door Cinema Club, Phantogram, Sleigh Bells, and Metric.
Just Like Heaven stands out because it offers a mix of well-known and emerging indie bands. This year, get ready for bands like Alvvays, with their enchanting indie pop, and Phantogram, who mix electronic music with rock. These artists add a modern touch to the festival, balancing well with the classic hits.
Going to Just Like Heaven means more than just listening to old favorites; it’s about discovering new music in a friendly and energetic atmosphere. We love the diverse range of music, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re revisiting old classics or finding new favorites, Just Like Heaven provides a unique and varied musical journey.
The festival started near the iconic Queen Mary in Long Beach, a place full of history and charm. This location perfectly matched the nostalgic theme of the festival. Recently, it moved to the historic Rose Bowl in Pasadena, known for hosting significant cultural and sports events. This new location can accommodate more guests and improves the experience with its vast lawns and rich history. Both the Queen Mary and the Rose Bowl greatly enhance the festival’s atmosphere, giving attendees a fantastic mix of music and a peek into Southern California’s cultural heritage. Moving to the Rose Bowl reflects the festival’s expansion and its dedication to creating memorable experiences at some of the most significant and historic sites in the region.
