pleasureform Offers Futuristic Dubstep In Debut Single

pleasureform has just launched his music project with the track ‘sui generis’ and we are thrilled to finally take a listen.

This project is the brainchild of Taylor Lane, formerly of the tech house heavyweights Arnold & Lane. As a duo, him and Arnie Sallan brought their style of wonk funky tech house to the masses with the biggest shows and releases.

Now we find Taylor in an introspective place, looking beyond what it means to be a single-genre artist. His roots stem from the likes of bass music, hip hop, glitch hop, and everything in-between. Although house music was his way to grow insight and experience in the industry, he found himself locked back in the studio with a desire for subby bass, minimal production, and halftime drums.

“pleasureform is a signal flow.

a form shaped by pressure, release, memory, and sensation.
sound designed to be felt before it’s understood.

not escape — return.
not excess — awareness.
not performance — presence.”

This debut single ‘sui generis’ is a hard launch of all things that encapsulate Taylor as a human. If you take sensation, memories, and pressurize them into a solid form, you get something on the other side that sounds simple but unlike anythingaround.

The track begins with rasta vocals resampled with a jersey vibe. It builds up the style of an energetic hard house tune. Once the first drop hits you’re unsuspectingly hit with an obscure breaks rhythm followed by the nastiest dubstep synth. If there’s one word to describe this experience it is: unpredictable.

The entire track is a journey from start to finish, and it does so without feeling overproduced. We are certain this thing will be popping off on dance floors throughout festival season.

This debut is a hopeful peek into the future of pleaasureform. Be sure to keep a lookout for more releases from him this year!
