Dyson, who brought you the ‘Air Blade,’ now pushing ‘air purifier’ headphones

Believe it or not, that isn’t an April Fools’ Day headline. It is entirely real.

If you’re on the hunt for some new headphones in the masking age, Dyson, of public restroom “Air Blade” fame, may just have the product for you with new “air purifying” headphones. Combining noise-cancelling over-ear headphones with an air filter mask, you can now take your tunes on the go with the promise of fresh, clean lungs. Dyson claims to have gone through 500 prototypes before confirming a design that is both practical and efficient. The new hardware includes a two-stage filtration system—a major step up from from most other headphones on the market with zero filtration systems.

“30 years of air filtration expertise pioneered into a wearable, high-end audio device. With a contact-free visor to supply a continuous stream of purified air to your nose and mouth. So, you can breathe cleaner air, anywhere” Dyson announced via social media.
