The Kanye West rumor mill never ceases to turn—especially when it comes to hypothesizing on future releases. Recently, G.O.O.D. Music executive Steven Victor shared some viable information regarding West’s next musical endeavor. Quite the credible source, Victor beat Kanye’s speculative fanbase to the punch, explaining how West is currently at work on “his new masterpiece.” What’s more, Victor reported that the working title of the looming project is in fact Donda 2.
After several discouraging delays, Kanye finally dispatched his tenth studio album last year on August 29. Donda quickly climbed the charts and was awarded its gold plaque by September’s end. On November 7, the prolific hip-hop producer issued a deluxe cut of the record, adding Kid Cudi, André 3000, and Young Thug to the mix of features. Fast forward to now, and Steven Victor has alluded to the possibility of Donda 2 landing this year.
Substantiated by recent footage of Kanye working in the studio with Scarface, Post Malone, and Fleet Foxes, Victor’s authoritative claim seems quite plausible. Then again, Kanye is Kanye; thus, fans should expect to wait for the follow up to Donda. Good things take time.
