Grigoré makes Spectrum debut with update of Push’s 2000s trance classic, ‘Strange World’

Grigoré has continually reaffirmed his placement in Dancing Astronaut‘s Artists to Watch in 2023, and he’s doing so yet again this year. To pile on to a scorecard that already includes a take on Innēr Sense’s “Ettaneva” and a four-part delivery through Solomun’s Diynamic, Grigoré is making yet another label debut, heading to Joris Voorn’s Spectrum for “Strange World.”

If the track title elicits some nostalgia, that’s not necessarily a coincidence. For Grigoré’s second original outing of 2023, he decided to revisit the all-time trance classic from 2000 of the same name. Citing M.I.K.E. Push as “an inspiration to countless music producers in the electronic dance music industry,” Grigoré is able to do justice to the now 23-year-old original, pulling out some of its trance elements and giving them a present-day refresher of crisp melodic techno.
