MitiS reminisces with nostalgic four-track EP, ‘Memories’

Towards the end of January, MitiS teased that he wanted to do something to give back to his fanbase—otherwise known as the MitiS Mob—to “bring back some memories.” And after delivering his Together EP this past October on Ophelia Records, MitiS now his second extending project since Lost, going through his own Born Records for a four-track EP, Memories.

Fittingly named, Memories does exactly what its name suggests, harkening back to the beginnings of his musical career and paying homage to his earliest work. Through each of the four tracks—all without any additional feature credits—Memories is a nostalgic return to the melodic dubstep touch that MitiS developed his career around, eploding with melodic passages and happy melodies that brings listeners back to the genre’s origins in the mid-2010s. In explaining the meaning behind the EP, MitiS stated,

Memories hits home and brings a lot of emotions that are nostalgic. Writing these songs was a blast reminding me of the golden days where the focus was the melody through instrumentation. I hope you all enjoy this EP as much as I enjoyed writing it. Memories EP out this Friday.”
