Monegros Desert Festival converted a jumbo jet into a stage

2022’s Monegros Desert Festival may have tossed its hat in the ring for the most inventive stage design of the year, that’s bound to make for a first-class experience, even from the cheap seats. That’s because concert organizers have recently purchased a decommissioned Airbus to be converted into a full stage. Sharing a video of Monegros’ newest stage on Instagram, the Airbus A330 is to be transformed into a club atmosphere that will fit 1,000 people next year, akin to something one might see out on The Playa at the US’s annual desert bacchanal, Burning Man.

Monegros Desert Festival will include Wu-Tang Clan, Adam Beyer, and Amelie Lens as headlines for 2022’s event, which is set to take place between July 30 and August 1. The event will mark Monegros’ return after five years, and the event’s newest stage highlights how organizers plan to go all-out for next year’s iteration of the festival.
