Post Malone decided to step away from the daily Bud Lights for a minute and hop into his “first owned and operated Alcohol Project” per the press release. Launching this summer, the new varietal of French rosé is called Maison No. 9, created by the multi-platinum artist alongside friend and entrepreneur James Morrissey of Global Brand Equities as well as long-time music manager Dre London.
The grape roots stem from Malone and his manager’s travels to and from Provence throughout 2019, working with an accomplished winemaker in between sold-out tour dates. In that time, they sampled “over fifty blends” until they built the final product. A love for the Mediterranean lifestyle and rosé—plus a few Grammy nominations—was enough to bring this new beverage to the world.
“Rosé is for when you want to get a little fancy, ” Malone noted with the announcement. “It’s a nice switch up and I have been thinking about doing my own wine for a while. It was great to work with Global Brand Equities because they saw the vision and we got to do some super cool stuff. Maison No. 9 goes down smooth, and you’re all going to love it!”
The name was inspired by Malone’s “favorite tarot card, the Nine of Swords, and represents overcoming the daily challenges we all face.” The bottle has a sleek look too. Starting in June, Maison No. 9 will be available for purchase online and in stores across the US, distributed by E & J Gallo Winery.
