Sébastien Léger joins Cercle at the Great Pyramids of Giza [Watch]

After more than a year in the making, Cercle has finally brought the talents of dance music laureate Sébastien Léger to the Great Pyramids of Giza, gracing the mythical wonder of the ancient world with a highly modular and melodic progressive house set.

Dating back to his earlier releases alongside Chris Lake, Léger’s work has long been defined not just by its upbeat grooves, but also—and more importantly—by its flexible character and nuanced attitudes. The Frenchman utilizes this approach to the fullest for his Giza performance, sewing a 90-minute collage of sound that’s as intricate and diverse as is fitting for the performance’s iconic location. From the worldly percussion to the premiere of Léger’s upcoming release, “Giza,” the abundance of work that went into honoring the Great Pyramids is as clear as day.

“Giza” is set to be the fourth release on the freshly launched Cercle Records, following singles by Ben Böhmer and Christian Löffler. The single is available for pre-order, with the full Cercle set at the Great Pyramids in Giza streaming here.
