Spotlighting SXSW 2021—the Charli XCX documentary primes debut

Charli XCX’s quarantine documentary Alone Together is set to debut at SXSW’s virtual film showcase on March 18.

Directed by Bradley & Pablo, the film documents the making of the pop-singer’s lockdown influenced album, how i’m feeling now, and the emotions tied into the life lived through quarantine. In an Instagram post, the English singer and songwriter shared,

“The documentary tells the story of not only the 5 week process surrounding the making of my album, how i’m feeling now, but also all the emotions that creating, connecting and living in a quarantine and in basically a new world evokes for people across the globe.”

Charli added that she’s not sure when the film will be released to the public but to “enjoy it when it does.” The singer has previously given fans a glimpse into her personal life when she starred in Red Bull’s ‘A Conversation With…’ series, a 50-minute piece which gave unique insight into her early origins and challenges within the industry.

The virtual 2021 SXSW festival will take place March 16-20 and will include a multitude of keynotes, conference sessions, festival showcases, and film screenings which you can find out more here.
