mölly Trusted the Timing and Her Debut Album ’22’ Is the Payoff

Some artists spend a decade circling their debut album. mölly got there in two years, and she wasn’t even in a hurry. Rewind to July 2024: she had no catalog and no crowd. Fast-forward to today, and she has surpassed 25 million Spotify streams, with over 5 million on “Here Again” alone and another 5 million across her Rushing In EP. In that short window, industry heavyweights including Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, Nora En Pure, Above & Beyond, Tritonal, and Sultan + Shepard began incorporating her records into their sets. She has also shared stages with the likes of Lane 8, Kaskade, Tiësto, and Christian Löffler at major events like Dreamstate, We Belong Here Miami, and ADE. That is one hell of a first lap.

Which makes 22, out today on Colorize, her first big swing—and her first home run. The album is undeniable, with “drops of oil” setting a sophisticated tone for the ten tracks that follow. The project features a stellar guest list, including MØØNE, Mees Salomé, sandpiper, OCULA, Richard Walters, FARLEY, Afnan Prince, Hessian, and LeyeT, all of whom add unique textures to her vision. Notably, mölly handled a significant portion of the production solo, and for the first time, she features her own vocals on the record, proving she belongs in the spotlight.

The title 22 emerged from the number itself, which appeared repeatedly during the writing process. What began as an exploration of unity, love, and connection evolved into a year of internal reflection. As she shared, “I spent so much of the album feeling like I needed to become more in order to deserve my place as an artist. The real lesson was realizing I didn’t.”

The evidence is now eleven tracks long. We knew we were right when we made her one of our 2026 Artists to Watch.

Her Joshua Tree DJ set went up on YouTube the day before release, with tour dates in London, Vancouver, LA, New York, Seattle, and Toronto scheduled through 2026.
