Montréal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau has long proven itself a natural home for dance music, and Osheaga’s 2026 edition is ensuring that tradition remains stronger than ever. The festival has officially unveiled its complete lineup for its 19th edition, scheduled to run from July 31 to August 2. While pop stars anchor the marquee, the electronic undercurrent of this year’s programming is particularly profound.
Leading the dance bill is Major Lazer, who returns to the festival for the first time in nine years. Fresh off high-profile headlining slots at Coachella and Ultra Music Festival, the group brings a sense of nostalgia and high-energy production that is sure to define the weekend. Joining them as a major highlight are Australian visionaries Empire of the Sun, who are set to make their long-awaited Osheaga and Montréal debut.
The festival has also leaned into its reputation as a hub for bass music, with Subtronics appearing on the bill to deliver his signature brand of heavy, rhythmic intensity. For those seeking a more underground aesthetic, the techno offerings are equally impressive. The lineup features Amelie Lens, KETTAMA, HorsegiirL, VTSS, and Brutalismus 3000, creating one of the most robust electronic rosters the festival has assembled in recent memory.
The main stage headliners—Twenty One Pilots, Tate McRae, and Lorde—also bring a distinct electronic DNA to the festival. Lorde, in particular, continues to bridge the gap between alt-pop and electropop, arriving in Montréal following major 2026 festival appearances at The Governors Ball and Mad Cool. Additionally, the return of The xx promises to add a sophisticated, atmospheric dimension to the weekend’s programming.
With 87 artists across multiple stages and a significant showing of 26 Canadian acts, Osheaga continues to strike a balance between global firepower and local pride. Full weekend passes are currently available via the festival’s official website.
