DRMAGDN re-imagines the Beatles’ classic ‘Something’

Multi-talented drummer & producer DRMAGDN returns to the music scene with his most fun effort yet – a remarkable tribute and remix of The Beatles classic “Something.” Following his signing with BMG, DRMAGDN was granted the rights to delve into George Harrison’s discography. Collaborating with Michelle Ray and a host of other high-profile artists, DRMAGDN elevated his rendition of “Something” to extraordinary heights. Contributing to the remix are Dave Eggar on strings (Grammy winner for Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida”), Danny Flam on horns (Grammy winner for work on Kanye/Rihanna’s “All Of The Lights”), Oscar Albis-Rodriquez on guitar/bass (A Great Big World, Sarah McLachlan), and vinyl mastering by Andy Vandette (David Bowie, U2, The Prodigy, Aerosmith, and Rush). This one has been touched by some of the best in the business, and it shows. The output is a striking, drum-heavy, electronically-infused re-imagination that not only does justice to the original but enhances it for a modern, EDM-forward audience.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the remix, DRMAGDN states:

“‘Something’ has always been my most cherished Beatles tune. When BMG acquired George Harrison’s catalog, I seized the opportunity to create a modern remix of the song. These are unquestionably the largest musical shoes to fill, so I had to go all out in this Beatles tribute, which includes nods to the artwork and an epic music video.”
