Not long ago, New York City’s staple event, Governors Ball, was forced to forfeit its in-person festival format for the first time in its nine-year campaign due to the coronavirus pandemic. Determined not to pass up its 2020 installment in its entirety, Governors Ball migrated its tenth anniversary celebration to the virtual world for an enthralling online experience. Now, to hold over the event’s would-be attendees for the summer, Governors Ball organizers are diving back into the festival’s archives for another “From The Vault” showcase, slated for June 25-26.
Adding to the previous shortlist of Governors Ball rebroadcasts, which featured Jamie XX and The Strokes, four respective headlining performances from Travis Scott, Major Lazer, Post Malone, and The Black Keys will be screened during “From The Vault,” which will to kick off at 8 p.m. EST each evening. Throughout the digital event, Governors Ball will be collecting donations for the Equal Justice Initiative, Food Bank of New York City, and Crew Nation.
Join us Thursday, June 25 and Friday, June 26 to relive some of our favorite memories with handpicked sets from over the years. From The Vault supports @eji_org,@FoodBank4NYC and #CrewNation.
