Honey Dijon rumored to be producing music for new Beyoncé album

Beyoncé is reportedly working on her seventh studio album, with rumored production assistance from house music icon Honey Dijon. Gregory Ellwood, the same journalist who broke the news on “Be Alive’s” inclusion in 2021’s King Richard, alleges that Honey Dijon has produced two house-fueled inclusions—you heard that right, two—for Queen Bey’s next project.

Before releasing her work from the critically-acclaimed Williams family biopic, Mrs. Knowles-Carter delivered both “Black Summer” and a verse on an official remix of Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Savage” in 2020. In 2019, the pop and R&B superstar lent her talents to Disney’s live-action reincarnation of The Lion King. Album-wise, however, Beyoncé has largely flown under the radar since her groundbreaking 2016 LP, Lemonade, discounting of course HOMECOMING: THE LIVE ALBUM, reflecting her headline performance at Coachella 2018.

It’s no secret that Beyoncé takes pride in sharing the spotlight with fellow female artists; many of her tour ensembles have consisted of exclusively female dancers and musicians. Thus, it checks out that if Beyoncé were to lean in a house direction on her next LP, enlisting a force like Honey Dijon to assist in molding the album’s direction sounds highly probable. According to Ellingson, not only has Beyoncé completed two tracks with Honey Dijon, but a new music video is also underway.

Welcome to the club, Mr. Ellwood. We faithfully await Beyoncé’s Honey Dijon-assisted house music era as well.
