Ibiza reportedly working on a vaccine passport for the summer – Mix Session

Ibiza and the Spanish government are working with the EU to secure a vaccine passport for the coming months as travel seeks to return to normalcy.

Reyes Maroto, Spain’s tourism minister, has reported that the vaccine passport will bring in an “element of safe mobility” once travel opens up again. He has assured that the passport will assist the country’s move to “adopt common protocols and generate the confidence that travelers need in order to make safe trips.”

Hoping for a Spring-time reopening, Matoro has stated that the reactivation of tourism, global safety, and mobility stands as the country’s number one priority. Having pioneered reopening protocols in multiple instances, Ibiza is set to open up for their typical season this coming summer, with outdoor terraces at restaurants and bars available for visitation come March 5.

Staying at the forefront of the leading edge, Ibiza has shown that a hopeful future is indeed on the horizon.
